This Soul chose a disadvantaged birth
It would need much guidance here on Earth
Its progress will be very slow
Accomplishment may not show
It would require extra to know
By the caregivers of this Soul

This Soul will not talk or run or play
Its thoughts may seem far away
It would require much care
From the caregivers it meets over there

Different, helpless, and disabled
This will be its label
Giving; this Soul may be unable
So, it seems by the able

May its life be fulfilled
By the caregivers whom are skilled
For they may not realize right away
The leading role they are asked to play

Soon, they'll know the privilege of giving
For guiding this Soul in its daily living
And to who gives this Soul a hand
A woman or a man
This Soul whose meek and mild
Sometimes wild

A stronger faith, a richer love will show
And the caregivers will come to know
The precious plateau
This Soul bestow
